Sound Meditation and Nature Walk
Join local gurus Massood Taj and Robin Barnes for an unparalleled sound meditation experience. This event begins in our yoga studio built in the forest next to a small stream where everyone will find a comfortable position to relax. Our instructors Massood and Robin will weave together a tapestry of sound from indigenous musical instruments. These mystical and pleasing sounds surround the space and produce an Alpha state of consciousness, boosting creativity and reducing stress and depression.
We will then extend our meditative experience by following this up with a relaxing quiet walk through nature. This is the perfect way to reset and recharge your mind, body, and spirit!
What is a Sound Meditation?
While there is no formula or blueprint for a sound meditation, the common denominator is the gentle sounds of various instruments including but not limited to crystal singing bowls, gongs, flutes, handpan, drums, Tibetan bowls and chimes. A well structured sound meditation will transport you to a deep meditative state of relaxation where the frequencies of the instruments will help clear emotional & energetic blockages in the body. Most participants report a feeling of peace & centeredness afterwards.
Who are your instructors?
Robin Barnes is a certified bio field tuning practitioner and a Reiki and Sound therapist.
Massood Taj is a multi-instrumentalist global musician who draws on influences from world’s mystical traditions including his own Sufi heritage for creation of improvised melodic patterns & archetypal sounds.
